“Broadband near-perfect capture of water wave energy by an array of wave energy converters” published in Journal of Fluid Mechanics

We outline a method to design arrays of simple heaving point-absorber wave energy converters by grading their power take off devices, which captures 99% of incident wave energy over a broad frequency range (doi.org/10.1017/jfm.2024.819). “Analysis of the Antarctic marginal ice zone based on unsupervised classification of standalone sea ice model data” published in Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans

We propose a definition of the marginal ice zone based on statistical clustering of sea ice properties and show that it gives comparable MIZ widths to wave penetration observations, in contrast with the sea ice concentration definition. See doi.org/10.1029/2024JC020953 Continue reading “Analysis of the Antarctic marginal ice zone based on unsupervised classification of standalone sea ice model data” published in Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans
