Research Expertise

Antarctic science
Advancing understanding and modelling of storm wave activity in the sea-ice-covered ocean, and wave-induced breakup of the ice cover; developing  ice-shelf-vibration models to predict disintegration events.

Ocean wave energy harvesting
Wave propagation through wave-energy converter farms; designing offshore structure for amplifying wave energy at selected locations.

Acoustic metamaterials
Developing acoustic metamaterials for use as vibration-isolation systems on maritime vessels.
